To celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2024), the 2024 Friendly Football Match took place on the morning of June 8 at Ciputra Hanoi International City, with the participation of four teams: Urban Infrastructure Development Investment Corporation (UDIC), Citra Westlake City Development Co, Ltd. (Ciputra Hanoi), Industry and Trade Magazine, and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper.
Mr. Tran Vu Quang – Deputy General Director of UDIC Corporation attended the friendly tournament and delivered his opening speech: “The 2024 Four-Team Football Tournament is an event that create a vibrant, competitive atmosphere, fostering unity and creativity among officials, employees, and workers within the participating units, while also promoting the sports activities and strengthening friendly relationships among agencies and units.”
Regarding the competition format, the four teams were randomly drawn into two matches. The winners of the first round would face each other in the final for first and second place, while the remaining two teams would compete for third and fourth place. Before taking the field, representatives of the teams committed to compete with a spirit of fair play, giving their best effort, and strictly adhering to the regulations and competition rules of the Organizing Committee.
Organizing Committee member Mr. Hoang Hung Quang, Deputy General Director of Ciputra Hanoi, presented commemorative flags and flowers to the representatives of the Referees and the four teams.
According to the draw results at the opening ceremony, the first round of the tournament showcased a match between Industry and Trade Magazine and Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper; while UDIC faced Ciputra Hanoi.
In the end, after a series of tense penalty shootouts, Industry and Trade Magazine team emerged as the champions of the 2024 Four-Team Football Tournament.
UDIC’s team excellently performed, achieving the runner-up position in the tournament.
The staff of Ciputra Hanoi International City gathered at the field early to cheer and encourage the teams. The preparation for the event demonstrated the leadership’s attention and support from UDIC and Ciputra Hanoi’s management towards the spiritual life and health of their employees, fostering cohesion among the company’s staff and strengthening their collective determination to build and achieve all development plans.
