On the morning of October 19, at the Gia Lam Cultural and Sports Center, the Hanoi Badminton Federation, in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Gia Lam District Party Committee, Gia Lam District People’s Committee, Lining, and Ciputra Hanoi International City, successfully organized the 2024 Hanoi Leadership Badminton Open Tournament, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi Capital.

Joining the opening ceremony with leaders from the Vietnam Badminton Federation, the Hanoi Badminton Federation, and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports was Mr. Hoang Hung Quang – Deputy General Director of Ciputra Hanoi International City representing the main sponsor for this 10th annual grassroots tournament.
According to Ms. Dinh Thi Minh, General Secretary of the Hanoi Badminton Federation, this year’s tournament featured 132 athletes from 23 delegations representing various central agencies and 11 districts in Hanoi. The competitions included three categories: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles across three different age groups (up to 45 years, 46 to 55 years, and 56 years and older). The event aimed to attract, gather, promote exchanges of experiences, further enhancing the sports movement in the city particularly badminton.
The outstanding results of the top-performing teams in the 2024 Hanoi Leadership Badminton Tournament were achieved by teams from: Vietnam Farmers’ Association; Hoai Duc District; High People’s Court; Bach Mai Hospital; Gia Lam District; Dong Anh District; and Long Bien District.
