Dr. Hc. Ir. Ciputra is honorably awarded “The BrandLaureate Brand ICON Lifetime Achievement Award Leadership”
The BrandLaureate is prestigious annually award which was initiated by the Asia Pacific Brand Foundation (APBF) – a nonprofit organization established in 2005 to recognize outstanding brand and individuals whose are in a league of their own and whose achievements have contributed significantly to the development of their countries and communities. Led by its Patron, H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s fourth Prime Minister together with a Board of Governors who are experienced captains of industries and brand icons.
This year 2018, Dr. Hc. Ir. Ciputra is honorably awarded “The BrandLaureate Brand ICON Lifetime Achievement Award Leadership” for his remarkable career as well as his continued efforts in community development.
Ir. Ciputra is the founder and the chairman of Ciputra Business Group. Ir. Ciputra graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology in 1960 with a bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering. On 1 March 2008, Ir. Ciputra received an honorary doctorate degree (HC) from University Tarumanagara for his contributions and dedication to Indonesian property development with a visionary entrepreneurship spirit.
Ciputra Group which was founded in 1981 is one of the leading diversified property developers in Indonesia with over 100 subsidiaries operating in the fields of Real Estate, Healthcare, Education and Arts. Of which, the Group have been developing its large-scale integrated development projects combining housing, commercial and recreational centers, and mixed – use developments including hotel, shopping mall and office complexes.
With its strategic vision, Ciputra Group has successfully developed 110 housing projects ranging from hundreds to 6,000 ha in Indonesia and all over the world, and become the global enterprise nowadays. Dr. Ciputra is also well known as a philanthropist. He funds a number of non-profit foundations dedicated to education, art, sport, and disaster relief. He was involved in the establishment of more than 10 educational institutions, from kindergartens to universities in the last 35 years.
