In the morning of 3 December, Hanoi Half Marathon 2023 with the theme Run for Turtle attracted more than 400 participants who actively supported the Nature Education Fund in its efforts to conserve nature and protect wildlife. The event took place in the campus within Ciputra Hanoi International City.
The 21km race started at 7:30 AM.
Prior to this, the annual communal sport event Hanoi Half Marathon 2023, held at Ciputra Hanoi received significant media attention and coverage from major newspapers. The organizing committee of the HHM 2023 reopened the 1km and 500m distances in order to encourage the sporting spirit and a love for running of the young residents of Ciputra Hanoi, in addition to the traditional distances 21km; 10km; 5km; 2km.
The international resident community of Ciputra Hanoi – A community that loves doing sports, focuses on health, and is committed to green living environment, as well as protecting the environment and nature.
The participants in the race primarily consisted of runners residing and working in the Ciputra Hanoi International City, including: 67% male and 33% female athletes; the oldest participant was 76 years old; while the youngest was 6 years old. The most represented age group at the event was between 30 and 49 clearly reflecting a trend of growing health consciousness, love for sports, and increased environmental protection support among the young residents group of Ciputra Hanoi. Since the HHM race 2022, the Organizing Committee has encouraged all members to pursue a sustainable race, promoting the use of personal water bottles and reducing plastic wastes. Many runners have actively and voluntarily practiced this initiative, highlighting the significant impact of small actions in preserving and developing a sustainable environment.
Mr. Hugues Hevier – General Manager of Ciputra Hanoi International City presented awards to the top 3 winners of the various race distances.
Before the event, Mr. Hugues Hervier directly supervised the positions set up for this year’s race. He also personally took the stage to award and encourage the outstanding athletes among the top 3 winners of the HHM 2023 race. With a dedicated and professional work ethic, along with a proactive group of volunteers from the fund of Education for Nature Vietnam and Jolo English Center, the organizing committee successfully gained trust and credibility in holding this year’s event. This has been a community sports event that Ciputra Hanoi has supported and sponsored for 14 years. After a year of persistent efforts, the HHM 2023 runners were welcomed with renewed energy for a joyful and meaningful life on the first Sunday of December at Ciputra Club – the sports and entertainment complex of Ciputra Hanoi International City.
