On the morning of December 8, the annual Song Hong Hanoi Half Marathon 2024, part of the community cultural exchange program “For Nature and Health”, was successfully held at the Ciputra Club sports and recreation complex – Ciputra Hanoi International City.
Now in its 15th year, this nonprofit marathon aims to raise public awareness about biodiversity protection through the message “Wildlife is not medicine”. The event has elevated the significance of the program motivating participants not only to improve themselves and enhance their health but also to embrace a meaningful lifestyle that promotes love for nature and preservation of a balanced and sustainable environment.
This year, the organizers continued the traditional of offering various running distances of 21km; 10km; 5km; 2km and 500m fun run for children. More than 300 participants included runners from 26 countries, most of whom reside and work in Ciputra City. According to the post-event report from the organizer: men made up to 60% of the participants; the oldest participant was 77 years old; the youngest was 6. The predominant age group in the marathon was 30-49 years, clearly reflecting a growing interest in health, sports and a commitment to environment protection among the younger residents of Ciputra Hanoi.
During the award ceremony for the 21km and 5km distances, Mr. Hugues Hervier – General Director of Ciputra Hanoi Property Management, personally presented awards to the top three winners of the HHM 2024 marathon. With a spirit of urgency and professionalism, along with over 100 enthusiastic volunteers from the Vietnam Nature Education Center Foundation, Jolo English Center, the Organizing Committee earned trust and confidence in successfully hosting this year’s event. This community sports event has been supported and sponsored by Ciputra Hanoi for many years, with active collaboration from the Ciputra Security Team and Ciputra Club staff, significantly contributing to the success of this year’s marathon.
From HHM 2024, runners embraced the challenges with enthusiasm, gaining motivation to prepare for the HHM 2025 marathon.
